The European Association of Electrical Contractors (AIE)

The European Association of Electrical Contractors (AIE) is composed of associations or organizations representing groups of electrical installation contractors either on a national, federal or state basis, who carry out electrical installations relating to high, medium and low voltage and the equipment associated therewith and provide all kinds of current consuming devices and appliances including electrical, electronic, communication and similar systems.

The purpose of the AIE is to act on behalf of the members in matters that cannot or can hardly be acted upon by individual members. This means that issues that the AIE decides to act upon should be in the interest of preferably all, but at least a significant majority of member associations. AIE can never pursue matters that are demonstrable contrary to the interest of one individual member association.
